Who we are

This website is run by Celeste, trading as Alma, teaching yoga in Newcastle upon Tyne. For privacy questions, email celestehyoga@gmail.com.

What we collect

If you use the contact or newsletter form, we collect:

• your name
• your email address
• any message you choose to send
• whether you asked to receive class and event updates

We do not ask for payment details on this site. Event bookings go through Stripe, and Instagram is provided by Meta — those services have their own privacy policies.

How we use your information

• to reply to questions about classes, workshops and events
• if you opt in, to send occasional emails about classes, workshops and events
• to look after the website and keep it secure

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Our legal bases

Under UK GDPR, we rely on:

• legitimate interests — to reply when you get in touch
• consent — to send newsletter or class updates. You can opt out at any time by emailing us.

Who we share it with

We only share what we need to run the site:

• Formspree processes contact and newsletter form submissions on our behalf
• GitHub Pages hosts this website
• Stripe processes event bookings if you follow a booking link

Some of these providers may store or process data outside the UK. They are used only as needed to provide the site and the services you ask for.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for as long as we need them to reply and follow up, then deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you ask to be removed. You can email celestehyoga@gmail.com at any time to update or delete your information.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies or analytics tools. Your browser may still store standard technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, in server logs used by our hosting provider.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• see the personal information we hold about you
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it
• stop sending you emails
• object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict that use
